It was the highlight of our Las Vegas vacation, much better than our former trip to Los Angeles. Also your rental car and the wonderful staff were just great. We also enjoyed the short side trip to one of the beaches along the Colorado River. We also liked the lunch and bus tour, and when we returned, only spent $13.00 for the gas. It was just as you had told me, plus we saved a lot of money doing it ourselves. Next time we come back, we'll do more of your tours. What fun ! The rooms with breakfasts included were a great way to start the day. The rides at Disneyland's California Adventure were very good and the 4D Soaring over California was absolutely amazing. The laser and fireworks show was spectacular for our three daughters. The minivan rental with unlimited miles took us over 3,255 miles. Knotts Berry Farm was also good. The fantastic zoo at San Diego and the dolphin show at Sea World were good experiences and Shamu was awesome. Most rooms and pools were nice, which came in handy in the hot weather of Needles and Sacramento. At the Grand Canyon in Arizona, we couldn't believe our eyes as we toured the rim. After so many 3D experiences at Disney, it didn't look real. Words cannot describe it. The raft tour on the Colorado River was fantastic with an excellent buffet lunch on the beach. Our horseback rides through the snow in Flagstaff with snow-capped mountains and sunshine had fantastic scenery as we rode up into the hills. Yosemite and Tahoe also yielded snow, but the gas fire, playing cards, hot tea and movie were cozy, while the outside scene was like a spectacular Christmas setting. Even the snowball we threw in the lake did not melt for several minutes. Our boat trip across the lake was so fantastic that it is hard to describe how beautiful it is. You can never appreciate it unless you have been there. The rooms in proximity of restaurants were handy. With a tram tour, a boat bay tour and a visit to the USS Pampanito submarine, we had a spectacular ending to our holiday in San Francisco. Our car rental return was efficient, too. This experience has definitely left its mark on all five of us and we have 400 photos to prove it ! We are hoping to come back to America in the near future. Your phone call on Easter Sunday was very much appreciated and was a real surprise. I don't know where you live, but if it is the Canyon area then it would be one of the most relaxing and beautiful areas to live in. (despite tourists) The helicopter flight enhanced the Canyon. Other than one of the tours down inside there is no other way to recognize the size and beauty. Looking over the side is nice but does not do it justice. Some important benefits are that you get to see a lot more than you would if you tried to do it all by yourself. (Often you go to these places and miss the important things.) The commentary is excellent and helps bring meaning to what you are seeing. From a practical point of view you don't need to be fumbling with guide books and maps in the car when you're driving. It's all there on the tape. The tapes make good souvenirs when you get home. (I loaned one to somebody and I hope I get it back!) They were well worth the small cost. I bought several tapes and I am interested in more tapes." Ernie wrote: "We bought the Hoover Dam Tour and thought it was the greatest tape around. It gave us the ability to stop and tour and eat along the way and to take our time to sightsee. On a tour bus you would have to move at their pace and directions.
